Published pricing for 2026
What decks really cost.
Most deck companies won't put prices in writing until they've sat in your kitchen. Here's what projects actually run in Maryland in 2026.
| Deck Resurfacing: boards only | Every deck board replaced with premium composite. Your frame and railings stay. Starting at $8,000. |
|---|---|
| Deck Resurfacing: boards + railings | Everything you see and touch is new: boards, railings, and edge trim on your existing frame. Starting at $12,000. |
| New Deck Builds | A fully custom new deck: designed, engineered, permitted, and inspected. Includes tear-out of an old deck where needed. Starting at $17,500. |
Our projects start at $6,000. That is not a minimum we invented to sound exclusive. A crew day costs the same whether your deck is 80 square feet or 200, so below a certain size the price stops falling. If you have a small platform and a set of steps, call anyway. We will tell you the number, and you can decide.
What moves the number
Size. Board line: we install TimberTech and Trex, from entry to architectural grade. Railing choice. Stairs and lighting. Height off the ground. And the one nobody mentions: the condition of the frame underneath. That's why we inspect before we quote, and why joist replacement has a written allowance in your contract instead of becoming a surprise charge later.
What should make you suspicious
A bid thousands below everyone else usually means no permit, no waterproof flashing where the deck meets the house, support boards spaced too far apart for composite decking, or railings screwed to the boards instead of bolted to the frame. Those are exactly the things you can't see at the barbecue, and pay for in year five.
How our pricing compares
High-end design firms in this market start their composite projects around $30,000. Budget operators advertise numbers that quietly leave out the structure. We land in between on purpose: premium specification at an honest number, with the math shown.
